What to Expect for Your Water Line Replacement or Repair
-
A trench will likely need to be dug from your house to the curb so we can access the water line. To avoid digging a trench, we may be able to use our directional boring capabilities.
-
The problem pipe is repaired or replaced, and the meter will be set.
-
Water service will be restored, and all work will be inspected by local utilities officials.
-
A special bedding material will be installed around the new or repaired water line to insulate it from sharp underground objects during the settling process.
-
The trench will be filled back in.
-
The area around the trench will be cleaned and smoothed.
-
Once the trench area has settled for about a month, we can come back and do some finish grading and lawn seeding if requested.
